Posts: 5,658. start by taking the shim plate in the rear leaf spring pack and move them to the top of the pack instead the bottom this will drop the read about 1 1/2 - 2 inches. if you want to go lower remove one of the leaf springs. as for the front either swap in 1/2 ton front springs or cut off one coil of the stock front springs. do not use.

#1 ยท Mar 13, 2014 I recently decided to lower my 2wd and have a few questions. For the front, I've read some people using 1500 coils. I can get a set of 1500 coils for $50 or a set of belltech 3" drop coils for $190. Would the 1500 coil be fine? And if so should I be getting 2wd or 4wd springs?

I'm not lacking for power, but I find myself backing out of it while looking at my gauge hit 1325 -1350. My question is: What's my cheapest/easiest mod to drop egt's?
